Symptoms of Gestational Diabetes

This testing should be done during the first trimester and then again during the second and third trimesters for women having greater risk factors, even if the first test is negative.

Ultrasounds keep giving me different due dates what is going on?

Okay at my last ultrasound the doctor seemed to have trouble finding out the exact date and also what he saw didn't correspond with the last date of my period. The baby looked to be 7 weeks 3 weeks ago at my first ultrasound. Now hes saying it looks like its 12 weeks but my ultrasound photo shows the gestation as 15 weeks 1 day gestation (and thats around what I thought I was). Is it really this hard to figure out the gestation of the baby? Could it just be a bigger baby or could it be diabetes or something else? I'm confused. The doc said he's keeping my due date as is and not changing it because it can be within a few weeks and he wants to be safe but couldn't it be dangerous to be way overdue? Any suggestions anyone?

I asked this question to my doctor because it confused me too. Your due date actually doesn't change from the first ultra sound. When they give you an estimated date after other ultrasounds, they base it on the size of your baby and when the are predicted to be big enough to be born. That doesn't mean its your new due date.
